About the project
What is the project about?
Let's realise 40 m² of HUMANITY!!!
...and provide refugees with decent housing!
In Austria, although there is an enormous amount of land for building – there is too much of it hoarded due to different reasons (Profit maximization ...)! Our team (f / m) consists of people from different professions (craftsman, builder, architect, social worker, doctor, lawyer, teacher...) who want to create a meaningful project.The main idea is to build high quality modular elements (not just containers!) in a timber frame construction, which can be prefabricated inside a factory building. As a result, livingspaces of about 20sqm, which are free to arrange according to the individual situation, can be realized. Complemented by a sanitary and a kitchen module it creates a fully functional unit as a living space for a good start into a humane environment. Private capital of the founders of this initiative has been already given in the first planning steps and to materials procurement (partly donated). There are already communities which support the project and make land available!
The future residents can be better integrated than they would be in a mass accommodation!
What happens with the money if financing was successful
The crowdfunding is used to build the living, plumbing and cooking module.
- The crowdfunding is performed for a prototype. After successful realisation, the project can be extended to other communities in Austria and abroad.
- Europe-wide feasibility: The project could have European showcase effect and be implemented in other EU countries to ensure a humane accommodation especially for refugees and homeless people. Contacts and opportunities for cooperations already exist.
The target groups are vulnerable refugees, as well as people who already have a residence permit status.
The project will be realized in close coordination with the respective municipality. The municipality provides available land, and leaves it under a lease agreement for use.
The plan is that the project will be provided with a pre-emption right for the community, in order to provide affordable housing for people with limited financial resources also in the medium and the long term.
There will be a sustainable "win-win" situation because many, in particular small communities have almost no financial flexibility to create a housing project from their own resources.
The most important key points at a glance:

- Close cooperation with the NGOs within the region
- Sustainable approach: after a few years the project can be offered to the municipality by right of first refusal (better political saleability)
- linkability with other initiatives
- Revitalization of communities affected by outward-migration to a viable extent where integration is manageable.

Animation zum modularen Konzept
Kurzer Clip zu einem kleinen "Gimmick" in der Ausführung. Der Schlafplatz soll zu einem Lern- und Arbeitsplatz umfunktionierbar sein. Die Innenwände sind statisch nicht tragend und die Module sollen somit auch modular zu einem Klassenraum "wandelbar" sein.

Kooperation mit PROSA

Gute Neuigkeiten: Es freut mich sehr euch mitzuteilen, dass wir mit der Initiative PROSA (Projekt Schule für Alle, siehe deren Dauerprojekt ebenso auf dieser Plattform(!)) einen kompetenten Projektpartner gewinnen konnten, der die zukünftigen Bewohner des Wohnmoduls mobil schulisch betreuen wird! Wir realisieren den Raum und PROSA unterstützt mit schulischer Betreuung! Perfekt!
