The 8th edition of the "LONG NIGHTS OF HUMAN RIGHTS". A series of events in June 2016 in Vienna to promote cultural diversity and to collect money for refugee projects.
About the project
What is the project about?
For the 8th edition of the "LONG NIGHTS OF HUMAN RIGHTS" in Vienna the two organizations "Vielmehr für Alle! - Verein für Bildung, Wohnen und Teilhabe" (<link vielmehr.at _blank>vielmehr.at</link>) with "dieKulturvermittlung" (<link diekulturvermittlung.at/>diekulturvermittlung.at</link>) and many other cooperation partners have put together an immensely broad program. It includes a number of concerts, exhibitions, dance and cabaret, talks and discussions, lectures, workshops and film screenings.

This series of events aims to sensitize the civil society on the topic of refugees, to bring together organizations helping people seeking asylum and to promote cultural diversity. Thanks to the past events around 50,000 people have been reached.
The funds that will be gathered during the events will be used to support the following projects of "Vielmehr für Alle! - Verein für Bildung, Wohnen und Teilhabe":

PROSA – Projekt Schule für Alle (<link www.prosa-schule.org _blank>www.prosa-schule.org</link>)
Im Rahmen des Vereinsbereichs PROSA – Projekt Schule für Alle! werden Basisbildungs- und Pflichtschulabschlusskurse für die Zielgruppe junger Menschen mit Flucht- und Migrationserfahrung konzipiert und abgehalten.
Unsere Bildungstätigkeit findet im Dreieck von Sozialarbeit – Unterricht – sozialer Inklusionsarbeit/Nachbarschaftsarbeit statt. Diese Konzeption verstehen wir als PROSA-PRINZIP. Flucht ist eine emotional belastende Erfahrung und braucht eigene Räume zur Bearbeitung. Sozialarbeit, die direkt am Lernort wirkt, ermöglicht den emotionalen und sozialen Folgen der Flucht einen Platz zu geben, damit Lernen gelingen kann und individuelle Vertrauenspersonen, Buddys, stehen als Bezugspersonen zur Verfügung.

Flüchtlinge Willkommen Österreich bietet Flüchtlingen die Möglichkeit, niederschwellig Wohnraum inmitten der Gesellschaft zu erhalten. Räumliche Isolation und Segregation in Massenquartieren verzögern und verhindern den Prozess der Integration. Wohngemeinschaften und Privathaushalte verfügen über Wohnraumkapazitäten, die mithilfe von Flüchtlinge Willkommen Österreich an geflüchtete Menschen vermittelt werden. Der individuelle Kontakt auf Augenhöhe und das Teilen eines gemeinsamen Wohnalltags ermöglichen auf niederschwellige und nachhaltige Weise Integration, ein solidarisches Zusammenleben und der Abbau von Vorurteilen.
Die Idee dafür entstand übrigens in Deutschland. Jonas Kakoschke und Mareike Gelling hatten die Idee, einen Asylwerber in ihrer WG aufzunehmen und sammelten nach Spenden im Freundeskreis.

Das Projekt [HOME] begleitet Jugendliche mit Fluchterfahrung im Prozess ihrer inneren und äußeren Stabilisierung und unterstützt sie darin, sich ein neues Zuhause zu schaffen und basiert auf drei Standbeinen:
- INGA - Initiative Gesundheit für Alle
- Buddyprojekt
- #openschoool
INGA fokussiert auf die Förderung und Aufrechterhaltung der psychischen wie körperlichen Gesundheit. Das Buddyprojekt ermöglicht Begegnungen auf Augenhöhe und den Aufbau von stabilen Beziehungen. Die #openschoool schafft durch vielfältige Workshops eine Begegnungszone, in der Menschen unabhängig von Herkunft oder Asylstatus miteinander agieren und voneinander lernen können.

Work:in begleitet junge Geflüchtete in die Berufswelt. Kurse zur Berufsorientierung, Exkursionen zu Unternehmen, Schnuppertage sowie Praktika geben einen Überblick über die Arbeitslandschaft in Österreich. work:in-Buddies bieten mit ihrer Berufserfahrung zusätzliche Unterstützung. Gemeinsam finden wir Unternehmen, die jungen Geflüchteten mit einer Lehrstelle oder einem Arbeitsplatz eine langfristige Perspektive geben.
